Privacy policy
Last updated 22 July 2026. What we collect, who sees it, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
When you sign in: your mobile number. We verify it by SMS one-time password.
When you buy a ticket: your name, email address and phone number, the event and tier, and the 12-digit UPI reference number you enter. We do not receive or store card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank credentials - you never enter those here.
Optional, only if you provide it: address, date of birth, and self-declared gender. Gender is used solely to operate same-gender seating at events that offer it. You can leave all three blank.
If you list events or venues: your business name, GSTIN if you supply one, and the UPI ID or mobile number you collect payments on. Your UPI ID is shown publicly to buyers at checkout, because that is how they pay you.
Automatically: which events you view or shortlist, and your tickets and check-ins.
Who we share it with
Event organisers receive the name, email and phone of people who bought tickets to their own event. No organiser can see buyers of another organiser's event.
Google (Firebase) processes your mobile number to send and verify the sign-in OTP.
Our email provider receives your email address and booking details in order to send your ticket and payment updates.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we run no advertising or third-party tracking on this site.
Payments go directly from your UPI app to the organiser's account. StageIt is not in that path and receives no bank data. See the payment terms.
How long we keep it
Your account and tickets are kept while your account exists. Records of confirmed payments are kept longer, because they are financial and tax records that both we and the organiser may be required to retain.
Backups are encrypted before they leave our server, and older copies are deleted on a rolling basis.
Your rights
You can ask us to correct your details, tell you what we hold, or delete your account. Email info@stageit.co.in or call +91 77999 91109.
On deletion: where a confirmed payment record must be retained, we anonymise it - your name, email and phone are cleared, and the financial record remains without identifying you. We prefer this to refusing the request outright.
Ticket QR codes and check-in records for events you already attended stay with that event's organiser as their own record.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords, where used, are stored only as bcrypt hashes and cannot be read back by anyone, including us. Ticket QR codes rotate every few seconds so a screenshot cannot be reused.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Children
StageIt is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data. Individual events may set their own age limits.
We will post changes to this policy on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects how your data is used, we will tell you rather than rely on you noticing.
